Since 2009, we’ve been involved in several advanced green building projects.

North House

Team North’s entry into the Solar Decathlon 2009.Team North students from Waterloo, SFU and Ryerson, together with industry partners, including Hibado (formerly VerTech), produced the 4th place finishing North House. Contributing to the performance of this net-zero house was the integrated solar thermal temperature control developed by Hibado.

West House

Part of Vancouver Mayor Gregor Robertson’s Green Capital initiative, West House showcases Green Technology to the world at the 2010 Winter Olympics. West House is a laneway home built by SmallWorks. The controls were developed jointly with a team at Simon Fraser Univerity’s SIAT and Hibado.
